On the Twilight Zone-ness of living in SF:
I have been eating high fat desserts all week. And not a little, as in maybe two or three a day, maybe more. It's not my fault, Ddog has been bringing in that delicious apple cake and Sheriff had a birthday with St. Honore cake and Persia brought in some pastries, and I go down easy for almond pastry. Gratitude for having a metabolism that burns 10000 calories a day, but still..
Back to the oatmeal breakfast, quick. So I go to MollieSTones, which used to be a regular corner market until it was bought. Now, the oatmeal I get at Trader Joes is 3 bucks and its 7.75 at Mollies.
This is the crux of my WTF is going on in this city? Ppl can afford to pay double for food? After every house in every hood goes for 1.3 million? And a house in a bad hood costs 600,000? Its unreal, it can't last, how is it possible for that many ppl to make that much money? Honestly, it would mean everybody here makes $250,000 a year. Thats a lot of smoke.

Total chol down to 182 since my shockalockaboom episode in errrr, um, April? Was 230 or 215.
Oatmeal. Now I already have the family colon cancer history, so I had a new coffee grinder in the closet for 2 years to grind flaxseed, and I jsut whipped that out this weekend. Supposed to lower cholesterol too!
Cardiologist deferred putting me on cholesterol meds and blood pressure meds (diastolic of 85-90) to see if I can lose some more weight. 229 ro 224. Goal 219. And you know, love to forget the other things he told me: exercise six times week, and try DASH diet, and stay off coffee.
You know what really surprised me in all this: How much fat and salt I snuck in on the late night cookie times.
which cheek??
Seriously, good on you getting the numbers down. xoxo

Really. Anyways, hit TJ's, got the steel cut oats, which is what I've been doing 4-6 days a week for a few months now.
